What is Hypnosis?

For many years, hypnosis therapy has not been taken seriously. Considered by some as a kind of magic, by others as a form of manipulation, or even as a fanciful form of alternative medicine.

In this article, we answer the most frequently asked questions about the Hypnosis method, and offer a brief summary of the method in a clear and uncluttered manner.

What is the principle of Hypnosis?

First of all, it is important to know that hypnosis is a state. It is the fact of intentionally reproducing a state of consciousness allowing to achieve, with the help of a professional therapist, various objectives.

These objectives vary according to the reason why the client comes to the therapist. It may be a question of relaxation, in order to calm great states and feelings of anxiety, or it may be a question of a desire for regular care in order to reconnect, with the help of a professional, the links between one's body, mind and energy.

Does Hypnosis have the capacity to heal?

Hypnosis therapy has many virtues, most commonly, reducing anxiety and stress, increasing relaxation, it provides pain relief and even has beneficial effects on the human immune system and helps to overcome certain phobias, addictions or traumas.

Is Hypnosis dangerous?

Hypnosis is a process in which a person gently enters a completely natural state of consciousness. Contrary to popular belief, the patient does not become completely manipulable when entering this state of trance. On the contrary, although the person allows his or her subconscious to take over during the session (without entering a state of sleep), he or she retains full possession of his or her unconscious abilities. And it is your subconscious that has the power over your natural instinctive reflexes and moral values. The person in a state of hypnosis cannot be forced to do things against their will during one of these sessions.

Does Hypnosis have any side effects?

Hypnosis therapy is still a mental, physical, psychic and energetic exercise for the human being, so it is possible that when the person regains consciousness at the end of the session, he or she may feel (especially at the beginning of the therapy) tired, confused or anxious.

Are we all receptive to hypnosis?

Although some people Some people are more receptive to this practice than others, we are all receptive to it, just to different degrees. According to studies, 20% of people are "very receptive "50% of us would be " receptive "And 30% would resist it. Some people resist it, if they put themselves in a refractory, non-relaxed state of mind and spirit.

But as each person is different and unique, so are their hypnosis sessions. Before starting anything, the therapist will communicate and find out about the person: they explain their problem, talk about their memories, their final goal in doing these sessions etc. The hypno-coach will use this information to design a therapy specifically for the client. But the willingness and personal investment of the person is obviously important and essential to the success of the hypnosis.

Brightly,

Basma & Leila.
